Is my reason….

Having textured and acne-prone skin is tough. My teenage years—and even part of my adult life—were spent in a frustrating cycle of trial and error. I tried everything: popping pimples, dabbing on toothpaste, and even using rubbing alcohol, hoping for a miracle overnight fix. But the endless stream of DIY remedies and advice people swore would "cure" my skin only made things worse in the long run.

Those "solutions" left me with new problems: dark marks from hyperpigmentation and a moisture barrier that was completely stripped away by harsh chemicals. My skin was perpetually dry, inflamed, and still breaking out. It felt like no matter what I did, the acne kept coming.

Eventually, I resigned myself to thinking, This is just how my skin is. I grew content with the idea, even though I secretly wished for more. Then I found makeup, and it became my saving grace. Suddenly, all those visible imperfections—discoloration, uneven texture—were hidden away. I felt confident, at least on the outside.

There came a point when I grew tired of waking up 45 minutes earlier every day just to try and keep up with a skincare routine that felt more like a chore than self-care. I said, "Enough is enough. I need to take this skincare thing seriously."

So, I took the leap and enrolled in esthetic school. That decision changed everything. I fell in love with skincare all over again. The knowledge I gained didn’t just transform my routine—it helped my family. My kids had been struggling with eczema, and the results from topical products we’d tried were disappointing. Armed with my new understanding, I stopped relying on those treatments and began exploring natural remedies.

That journey didn’t just change our skin; it changed our lives. And from that love for natural, effective skincare solutions, Blissbar Company was born.

SO MY IDEA WAS TO…

CREATE A DAILY ROUTINE

During the winter months, my oily skin needed more hydration. So I created a simple morning routine: cleanser, toner, brightening serum, and moisturizer with sunscreen. At night, I added a glycolic mask after cleansing to help with exfoliating 2x a week.
